There we give the kitchen and bathroom extra time, since they wear the most in daily life. Further out towards Önnered and Långedrag more people live in houses with large windows facing the sea, where sand and salt gather by the entrance.

    HOUSING AND PRACTICAL INFO

Housing and practical information in Västra Frölunda

Västra Frölunda grew up around Frölunda torg in the 1960s with large apartment blocks, many of them several storeys high with lifts. Towards the sea in Tynnered, Önnered and Långedrag the buildings get lower, with villas, terraced houses and flats near the coast.

In the taller buildings balconies are often glazed, and the glass quickly picks up dirt from wind and salt. A shared laundry room in the basement is common. Closer to the sea, houses often have large window sections that need more time. Parking can usually be arranged in the yard or a visitor space.
