What you need
Four things you probably already have in the kitchen are enough. No corrosive sprays required.
- Baking soda or bicarbonate (about 100 ml)
- White vinegar or 12 percent cleaning vinegar
- A spray bottle and a soft sponge
- A blunt knife or plastic scraper for stubborn spots
Step by step
Start by taking out the racks, trays and any oven floor. They are cleaned separately. Turn the oven off and let it cool completely.
- Mix baking soda with a few tablespoons of water into a thick paste
- Spread the paste over the entire interior of the oven, avoid the heating elements
- Leave overnight, at least six to eight hours
- Wipe the paste off with a damp sponge in the morning
- Spray vinegar where baking soda remains, it will fizz away the residue
- Wipe clean with lukewarm water and let it air dry with the door open
Racks, trays and fan filter
Put the racks and trays in the sink or bath. Sprinkle baking soda, pour hot water over them and leave for an hour before scrubbing. The fan filter goes in the dishwasher at 50 degrees or soaks in hot water with washing-up liquid.
When it pays to hand it over
Before a sale, an inspection, or if the oven has years of build-up, there is no reason to spend a weekend in the kitchen. Our deep cleaning in Gothenburg covers the fan, tile grout and the tops of cabinets. Interior oven cleaning can be booked as an add-on to deep cleaning, with the RUT deduction applied directly to the invoice.
